Firestone Development Code
The Firestone Development Code (FDC) compiles all land use related regulations, including zoning, subdivision, land use processes, and other development-related subjects for the Town of Firestone into a single unified development code. Overall, the FDC is specifically intended to foster quality, compatible, and efficient relationships among land uses and provide a clear, timely, business-friendly development processing atmosphere for residential, retail, commercial, and primary employer developments.

- The Town of Firestone allows accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in accordance with Section 16.3.3.G.1 of the Firestone Development Code (FDC). The Town of Firestone must issue a permit to allow an ADU.
- The Town of Firestone allows the use of artificial turf in the rear and side yards of single-family residential properties. The location, materials, appearance, installation, and maintenance of artificial turf areas must comply with all requirements of the Firestone Development Code (FDC) Section 16.6.4.F.2. In general, artificial turf shall be natural in appearance, integrated into the overall landscape design, and not be toxic to humans or pets or be harmful to the environment. A permit from the Town is required before installing artificial turf.
