Continuing to Celebrate Professional Municipal Clerks Week
Throughout this week, we will share information and details about the Firestone Municipal Clerk’s Office and highlight the staff’s vital role in serving the Firestone community.
Another critical role the Firestone Clerk’s Office is responsible for is Municipal Elections. As a Statutory Town, the Town of Firestone holds a regular municipal election on the first Tuesday of April in every even-numbered year. The mayor, who serves a two-year term, is up for election at every regular municipal election. Board of Trustees members serve four-year staggered terms; at every regular election there will be three out of the six who are up for election.
The Town Clerk serves as the Designated Election Official and ensures that elections are conducted in compliance with all statutory guidelines.
