Central Park Update

 envision Central Park!

Over the past few months, we've actively engaged with the residents of Firestone through the Central Park website, a well-attended open house in March, and at community events this summer.

We’re excited to share that over 1,300 residents participated in the engagement activities on the  Central Park website to provide input on what they would like to potentially see in each of the areas. 

Here is a summary of the results:

Preferred Choices for the Gateway Area:

1. Outdoor waterpark
2. Food trucks
3. Indoor waterpark

Preferred Choices for the Community + Civic Area:

1. Central plaza
2. Amphitheater
3. Recreation center

Preferred Choices for the Active Outdoor Area:

1. Sledding hill
2. Free play area
3. Playground

Preferred Choices for the Sports Complex Area:

1. Recreation center
2. Outdoor sports field with concessions
3. Indoor sports field center

Preferred Choices for the Naturalized Area:

1. Wildlife habitat (birds and flowers)
2. Tree orchards
3. Open space
