WCR 20 Temporary Closure

Coal Ridge Ditch Bridge Replacement Project

Beginning Thursday, January 16, 2025, Weld County Road (WCR) 20 will be closed between Frontier Street and WCR 19 to replace the bridge over Coal Ridge Ditch. Local traffic on WCR 20 will have access from WCR 19. This closure is required to allow the contractor to remove and replace the bridge. Barring any unforeseen issues and weather permitting, this closure is anticipated to last through the end of Spring 2025. 

The main detour routes will use WCR 24 from Frontier Street to WCR 19. The detour map is below. Signs will be in place along the detour route to help direct travelers. 

Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detour and traffic control signs and, if possible, to avoid this section of WCR 20 altogether.
