Firestone Town Manager Update
Last week, Firestone Town Manager A.J. Krieger submitted his letter of resignation to the Board of Trustees, effective November 5, 2025. Mr. Krieger has accepted an appointment as City Manager with an agency outside the state, which presents an excellent opportunity for his career and his family.
The Board of Trustees is expected to hold an Executive Session during their October 8, 2025, meeting to receive legal advice relating to the laws governing interim appointments and the search for a new town manager.
Mr. Krieger was appointed Interim Town Manager in the spring of 2018 and formally became Town Manager in April 2019. Throughout his tenure, he has provided strong leadership and mentorship to staff while guiding Firestone through a period of significant growth. His expertise has shaped numerous projects and initiatives, always with a focus on ensuring sustainable development for the community’s future.
“I want to thank A.J. for his work over the last seven and a half years,” said Mayor Don Conyac. “He provided much-needed direction to bring commercial businesses and critical infrastructure to Firestone. I wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
Trustee Lorna Morton also reflected on Mr. Krieger’s impact: “It has been a pleasure knowing and working with A.J. throughout his tenure as Town Manager. His experience, leadership, professionalism, and dedication have moved Firestone forward. He brought integrity and ingenuity to every challenge he faced, and his contributions have helped shape Firestone’s sustainable growth, placing the Town in a strong position for continued success. He will be greatly missed.”
