In 2022, the Board of Trustees approved a contract to design and build a Pump Track and Bike Park in the Mountain Shadows subdivision, located just south of Mountain Shadows Park. The 2023 Capital Improvement Projects budget included Phase 2 of the project, which covered the dirt bike park section. At the February 8, 2023, meeting, the Board of Trustees approved a change order to the original May 2022 contract, incorporating the design and construction of Phase 2. This approval allowed both phases of the park to be constructed simultaneously. Work began in late March 2023, and the park officially opened in September 2023.
The Mountain Shadows Pump Track and Bike Park offers cyclists of all ages the opportunity to develop off-road biking skills. The layout includes a mix of asphalt and dirt pathways, intersections, and turns, providing riders with various ways to navigate the track. The park's paths and obstacles are designed to accommodate bikers, skateboarders, and scooter riders of all skill levels, serving as both a playground and a training facility.
